Child Safety Standards

About these standards
DOYO is operated by JAB Studios LLC. This page is our published statement of how we address child sexual abuse and exploitation on DOYO and serves as our public child safety standards for users, parents, and platform reviewers. It is also intended to help anyone who encounters concerning content understand how to report it.
Designated child safety point of contact
Email: team@doyosocial.com
This address is monitored by the Doyo team. Reports involving child safety are treated as a priority.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. You may also report the matter to us so we can take appropriate action regarding content or accounts on Doyo.
Our prohibition on child sexual abuse and exploitation
The following are prohibited on DOYO, everywhere in the product, including inside private direct messages and group messages:
- Child sexual abuse material, in any form, whether photographic, drawn, generated, or described in text.
- Sexualization of a minor, including sexualized descriptions, sexualized artwork, and sexualized framing of an otherwise ordinary image.
- Solicitation of a minor for sexual purposes, and grooming — building trust with a minor with the intention of sexual exploitation, whether the exploitation is intended to happen on DOYO or somewhere else.
- Sextortion, and any threat to publish intimate content of a person.
- Offering, requesting, trading, or advertising child sexual abuse material, and linking to it anywhere else.
- Facilitating the sexual exploitation or trafficking of a minor.
- Any attempt to arrange offline contact with a minor for a sexual purpose.
There is no tier, label, or context in which this content is permitted on DOYO. This content is prohibited without exception.
What happens when we find it
When we become aware of content involving child sexual abuse or exploitation, we may remove the content and suspend or terminate the associated account.
Where required by applicable law, we will report apparent child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline and preserve relevant content and records as required by law.
We cooperate with law enforcement in response to valid legal process and may make disclosures where permitted by law in emergency situations involving a risk of death or serious physical injury.
How to report it
In the app, you can report content and accounts using DOYO's available reporting tools.
- Open the content, account, or conversation you want to report.
- Choose Report from its menu.
- Choose the reason that best describes what you are seeing. Reports involving child safety are treated as a priority.
- Add any information that would help us understand and locate the issue.
- Submit the report.
Reporting is private. We do not tell the person you report who submitted the report.
You can also contact team@doyosocial.com if you cannot report the issue in the app, if the issue concerns an account more broadly, or if you are not a DOYO user.
Please do not send us suspected child sexual abuse material or re-share it to show us. If possible, report the content where it appears in DOYO. If you contact us by email, provide information that will help us locate the content or account without attaching or reproducing the material.
What we do not do
DOYO does not proactively scan or automatically read the content of private messages for child sexual abuse or exploitation. When we become aware of suspected child sexual exploitation through a report or other means, we take appropriate action and make reports where required by applicable law.
DOYO does not currently support uploading photos, videos, or files directly within messages. Messages may contain text and references to content already available within DOYO. If our messaging capabilities change, we will review and update our child-safety practices as appropriate.
Messages are not end-to-end encrypted. Access to message content is limited to circumstances where it is reasonably necessary to operate the service, investigate reports, enforce our policies, protect users, or comply with applicable law. Additional information about messaging and moderation is available in our Community Guidelines.
Protections for users under 18
- We require a date of birth during registration and do not permit anyone under 13 to create an account.
- An account belonging to a user under 18 cannot be set to receive messages from everyone and cannot receive message requests from strangers. These restrictions cannot be changed by the user.
- An adult cannot start a direct conversation with a user under 18 unless they mutually follow each other.
- An adult who does not mutually follow a user under 18 cannot send messages in a group conversation that includes that user.
- A user under 18 does not appear in recipient search results for an adult who does not mutually follow them.
- Blocking prevents blocked users from directly communicating with or viewing each other's messages, including within shared group conversations.
Enforcement across the product
Confirmed violations of these standards may result in immediate removal of the content and termination of the associated account. Attempts to evade enforcement by creating another account or using someone else's account may result in additional account restrictions or termination.
Our full content rules are published in the Community Guidelines, and the legal terms governing use of DOYO are available in our Terms of Service.
